How Orientom’s Quantum Finance Middleware Will Change Banking by 2030

It is a South Korean AI and Quantum software company that focuses on developing algorithms and platforms for highly complex problems across finance, energy, and climate. Orientom creates a bridge for hybrid quantum–classical algorithms for the sectors mentioned above. 

Orientom works with Kookmin Bank and Yonsei University in Korea to create technological connectivity: the Quantum Finance Middleware platform. It focuses on ELS (Equity-Linked Securities). ELS is a highly complex product that is tied to stock market performance and estimation.

This financial modeling and risk management technology will also be helpful in the use cases of blockchain technology in the future.  Since ELS needs advanced as well as cutting-edge, systematized tools, this Middleward technology appears to be an effective solution in that regard. This technology can help complete a complex price estimation and manage risk perfectly with efficacious results.

Why This Matters for Finance

Monte Carlo simulations, the traditional or classical methods, appear to be less effective in complex financial calculations, especially when the dimensionality of data feeds and management has increased manifold, and so the former are not effective for products like ELS.

To overcome this problem, Orientom uses hybrid quantum–classical algorithms and minimises errors by correctly combining quantum computing principles with traditional methods. Whatever tests that Orentom performed with Kookmin Bank have displayed far better results with high accuracy.
